Nestled in the heart of West Sussex, The Oak Barn Bar and Restaurant offers a unique dining experience, serving exceptional meals in a beautifully restored 250-year-old barn. Emphasising locally sourced ingredients, their diverse menus feature everything from light bites to a full A La Carte selection, all set within a charming ambience accentuated by authentic wagon wheel chandeliers, a real inglenook fireplace, and stained glass windows.
The Oak Barn initially engaged Casper Creative for website hosting but soon recognised the need for a website revamp. The goal was to better align the website with their distinguished brand and the high quality of their service and cuisine.
Casper Creative responded by developing a new, mobile-friendly website that effectively conveyed the brand’s aesthetic and quality. The focus was on creating a digital presence that not only showcased the restaurant’s unique offerings but also streamlined the booking process for customers.
Our collaborative journey began with gaining a deep understanding of The Oak Barn’s business, clientele, and competitors. This phase was crucial in identifying their specific needs for an enhanced online experience and aligning the new website with their high standards.
The design concept focused on highlighting The Oak Barn’s unique location and exceptional food and service. With a clear vision, we created design prototypes that emphasised visual appeal while promoting customer bookings and engagement.
A custom WordPress site was developed, with a focus on ease of maintenance and customer usability. The key feature was a tailored booking form, designed to reduce errors, clarify customer requirements, and ensure accurate collection of contact details, in line with the client’s preference for a more personal booking management approach.
The final delivery was a fully tested, user-friendly website that elevated The Oak Barn’s online presence. The new site enhanced customer engagement, making it easier for diners to explore the restaurant’s offerings and make enquiries, while enabling the staff to manage reservations effectively and maintain their personalised service.
